Our Story

In the art of historic old Town Alexandria, The Pita House is a family-owned neighborhood restaurant. The Pita House was born of a simple idea to serve authentic Mediterranean dishes, using fresh ingredients with friendly service. In 1984, our family came to the United States, leaving behind a Lebanon in the midst of civil war. The Pita House opened in 1992, fulfilling our father’s life-long dream of opening a restaurant specializing in Lebanese Cuisine, using our mother’s recipes. Thanks to our loyal customers, In 2011, we moved from our original location on Cameron Street to the present expanded restaurant at 719 King Street.

In addition to a being full service casual restaurant serving lunch and dinner, we deliver locally and provide catering to large parties everywhere in the metropolitan area.

We have a full menu featuring a large selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. We remain committed to serving our guests authentic Mediterranean food at reasonable prices.

Our father passed away June 8, 2000. We carry on in his tradition.
